What’s this “Spirit of YOLO”?

In the years 2008 – 2009 a series of events happened that led me to much soul searching. I pondered many thoughts and ideas about just “who I am” at this stage of my life and what it is that I want to accomplish with the rest of my life?

I am most at peace when I am near the open water, the beach, the sea. I feel closest to God in the quiet moments at the beach, watching and hearing the incessant sound of the surf. I love the idea of “aloha” and what it means to Hawaiians. I’m always amazed at how easy it is to assume the aloha lifestyle when in Hawaii.

Aloha may mean love, affection, compassion, mercy, sympathy, pity, kindness or grace. These sentiments make it a lovely common greeting and expression of farewell. The idea of aloha is so important in Hawaii that the “Aloha Spirit” is even part of State Law….read the details here: The Spirit of Aloha

Aloha also refers to a powerful way to resolve any problem, accomplish any goal and also to achieve any state of mind or body that you desire…In the Hawaiian language, aloha stands for much more than hello or goodbye or love. Its deeper meaning is the joyful (oha) sharing (alo) of life energy (ha) in the present (alo)…the loving use of this incredible Power is the secret for attaining true health, happiness, prosperity and success.          ~The Aloha Spirit

Bottom line, I’ve realized I am most happy when I am blessing others. Blessing may take on many forms…it might be done with words, with actions, with financial support, with prayers, with admiration, emotional support, love, friendship, happiness, peace, gratitude and so on.

SO…after much prayer and meditation…the Spirit of YOLO was born.

YOLO = You Only Live Once

I want to live my life with purpose and intention. I will live my life with the purposeful intention of blessing others. I will live my life with PASSION!

Aside from my relationship with God, my family is a the very top of my priority list and I intend to leave them a legacy of being blessed and blessing others. I am an entrepreneur and I intend to help people discover how to live their lives with passion and the Spirit of YOLO. I intend to explore the far reaches of this beautiful planet we live on; I am confident I’ll find opportunities to bless others in my travels. I intend to build a life of financial freedom so I remain in a position to bless others.

I encourage YOU to consider living your life with the Spirit of YOLO! Imagine the place this world would be if we all focused on blessing others. Ahhh….the peace.

I get to feel the spirit of Aloha fairly often as one of my bsiness partners is Hawaiian. Everytime I talk to her it takes me back to how good it feels there and how sweet and loving the people are.
